So the initial appeal has been unsuccessful, I have uploaded a copy of the letter they sent me, and I am debating whether I should just pay the fine or make a second appeal?

Well I submitted my appeal on day 0 so hopefully that will give me a little more time.

I've submitted an appeal based on the grounds I did everything in my power to purchase a ticket & stated I was only issued a penalty fare when trying to buy a ticket from the ticket desk, and also that I was not asked to present a ticket either. I also live at an address 1 min walk from burley...

The penalty fare was £20 - and I never have problems with that card and used it before and afterwards with no problems. Thanks for all your help btw

No there was no clear indication the machine wasnt working in general, it did just seem specific to that card :/
