Nice one! Where are you going to be based? Did you get it in the post or via email? I jump up every time my email sound goes off, must be imminent if they're starting to come out to people!

I heard I had passed the interview and got the job in the first week of December, I was told about the four courses and that I would hear with plenty of time to spare. I asked about the medical and when I might hear and I was told I'd get the dates before Christmas but nothing materialised as yet.

In fact I've just been told classroom training starts again at Freightliner next week for some so companies are moving forward again!

Yeah I hope so, I've not had a reply to an email I sent so far. I'm just going to wait now. Nothing we can do. I note they seem to have expanded their operations and signed up for more work and rolling stock etc so they still need drivers.

Heard through a driver friend at another company that classroom learning might be restarting around the end of July/early August.

I think it'll be knocked back until it all picks up again. You actually don't hear from the medical even though it says you both get a report in the letter. I had to email hr to find out. Probably working from home I reckon, most people are.

Oh I'm ready!! I believe there's training starting at the beginning of April but our group is looking at summer, if they get a training scheme authorised for then that is. But yeah it's a waiting game, hopefully not too long.

I've read conflicting things but it still appears there's no agreed contract yet between hs2 and gbrf. It's a talent pool for the foreseeable. God knows what this virus is doing to recruitment. I work at the airport and might be out of a job tomorrow with no planes in the air I just don't know.
