New starter - Covid-19 impact on employment

Id agree with that. Im in the same boat as ST and thats what im doing. Ill give my notice when the TOC can get its training school up and running again. If I cant give my full notice then so be it. No point taking a chance as nobody can offer any guarantees at the moment.

New starter - Covid-19 impact on employment

I suppose it's better for both parties. You will not be sat on a trainee wage and they don't have to pay you to sit on your backside. Just let them defer it until the world is normalised again.

New starter - Covid-19 impact on employment

Northern Trains. Yes people who had given notice will be paid as I understand. Its a strange time at the moment. I'm in the "key" Rail freight sector so it's business as normal. But passenger. Who can say? Time will tell. We'll just have to wait it out and see.

    Northern Drivers - Sheffield

Have a lot of situations in mind where you have worked on a project, worked with somebody you didn't like, went above and beyond, seen a way to improve something, solved a technical problem, been logical, involved in an emergency, worked under pressure, made a big decision ect. Do your homework...

    Northern Drivers - Sheffield

Be prepared to wait a long time if necessary. My application to start date was 18 months. The cogs turn slow. Be patient and keep jumping through the hoops.
