I used to travel from Stockport to London a lot, a two-hour journey, on Sunday evenings. These would regularly have no checks! Was probably checked on arrival though if I remember right.

I also disagree. I was there at 12:30. If the EMR train had been running, I would have arrived at 1.40. I ended up arriving at about 3.00. However, I hope the train companies won't view it this way :/
