    Hi, just been through the (nearly finished) revamped Berrylands and noticed the "Berrylands" signs on the platform are white instead of SWR blue. Is it going to be GBR branded when it reopens?

    There's a diagram for VZ drivers for two arrivals of 458-4s for today. One at 1257 and one at 1557. Relieving WM drivers and berthjng them in road 11,12 or 13. So could it be one unit and two?

    Guess so. Although we attached/detached the /5s at CLJ yard as part of the /0 course. That's the only reason they are there apparently.

    Sadly the 5 cars can not be introduced quickly because every driver trained so far on 10 cars needs another course to drive them. According to our trainers last month.

    Driver training finally reaching the outer depots. Both Woking and Farnham drivers join the inner depots this month in being 701'd.

    Rumbles are that driver training will be sped up because the course will basically be halved in length. Driver open, guard close will be the norm for all 701 at all stations.

    Don't listen to the 'take your time' negativity. Show your skills and worth and progress at your time. I joined the industry 4 years ago as a Guard. Became a Commercial Guard after 9 months and a Trainee Driver 2 years after that. Know your worth, prove it, and the sky's the limit.

    Hi all, Well it's been a 3 year journey of assessments, interviews and a medical but I finally have a start date to move from guard and train as a driver. Thanks to all on here that have generously given of their experiences and knowledge. Best of luck to all in future.
