That's the way it should be! Abellio have condensed the scotrail guard training to save money and it is now: 1 week induction 1 week commercial/tickets 2 weeks!!! Rules etc 10 days with a CI but you need to do your routes as well during that 10 days now!! Absolute joke

Rejection emails will also come out to those who dont make the last batch of assessment dates

Just to update everyone there is one more batch of stage 1 assessments next month. Dates to be confirmed Anyone with a status of "submitted" is still in the running for a space. Emails will be sent out shortly in the next few days

I hope I am wrong but I'd guess that if they are now moving people onto stage 2 who done stage 1 in november means that they are finished with stage 1 assessments Gutted

January assessment days have been filled. They will keep filling places until there are no more dates left. No confirmation of remaining dates

How would tpe know you are doing assessments with another TOC? Hoping some more of us hear something shortly about the next intake of assessments Theres only 2 vacancies where I have applied so it's a very long shot

What have you heard? It was a tpe guard who told me they had heard this but probably the usual railway rumours

Just heard that it's the top scorers of the online tests who have been offered assessments this week and any further intakes for assessments will depend on how these ones go

Exactly. Personally I would be dropping over 10k on a training wage so 8 weeks as opposed to a year or two makes a big difference Someone said managers can spot straight away someone who is only in it for the money. Trust me, when someone turns up giving it the "oh it's all about the railway...
