    Locomotive Services Fleet (LSL) updates

Tbh wondering about 401, considering its under some heavy-ish repairs at Barrow hill. Perhaps they will have to ditch 401 in favour of one of their green ones

Didnt know the 158s had AC, always thought it was never re-fitted as they still have the original roof vents, Also for the fact that ive never experienced the AC on a ATW/TfW 158

But isn't that what Donnington was for anyways? Doesn't seem like much of a point to move them elsewhere, unless they will all be delivered to Long Marston from now on (Perhaps Contract stuff and all that)

    Ex DRS 37s

Yeah 207 seems to have been all over the shop with almost no record from what ive seen (Personally it should be restored back to its former CR Glory)

HNRC Cant send locos as they arent an Operator, just a rolling stock Owner/Leaser. So they need to arrange with Colas (who they work closely with for 37 related stuff) to move them. 424 and 425 also will be a while, as again, the company who have purchased them arent a mainline operator. If i...

TfW withdrawals (Now just 150/158s to go)

If GWR take on TfW 158s, and keep the ETCS in place, they still have to train their drivers on the operation of the units in Level 0. Its not full ETCS training but its knowing the basics as the system is never fully turned off. (I Believe its something to do with inputting the headcode and...

What are these boxes on the roof of some class 159s?

Thanks for the info I haven't seen any of them on EMRs, TFWs or Northern's but watching some videos I can see GWR had them and even in FGW livery they had them

What are these boxes on the roof of some class 159s?

Something I've noticed while looking at the 159 units is that some seem to have these boxes on the roof at the inner end on 1 driving coach per unit, It appears to be 3 Boxes with a cable or pipe running in-between them It would be great if someone could explain what these are and which units...
