    Tube Challenge - official information

The labyrinth route - https://www.tubeopedia.co.uk/labyrinth-locations remember its 2 stations short now so you will need to factor in Battersea Power Station Station branch. I'd also suggest doing all the DLR stations and all the Croydon tram stations first as test runs as this will give you...

Trivia: Your least desirable station to wait at

Great pub over the road, plenty of cover if its raining. Coatbridge Sunnyside is surely the worst place in Scotland to wait.

    YouTube Railway program list

Since the Beeching Plan, rural branch railway lines have been ripped up with as much vigour as they were originally put down in the great 'railway mania' of the 1840s. Very few are left now, and this film records the final two days of the line between King's Lynn and Dereham, twenty-six miles...

Mk1 toilets and signs stating "do not flush in stations"

I remember waiting for a train at Rochdale several decades ago and seeing the rather large pile of poo in the middle of the tracks with one particular whole typical looking jobby seemingly staring back at me and from that moment on I decided never to flush the toilet in the station ever again.

    Sleeper bus

I did it once and had a bottom bunk - as someone who is 6'3 it was virtually impossible to get into without sticking my backside up in the air or lying on the floor and rolling in!! The bunk was so enclosed that I started to get claustrophobic and by the border I was in the seated area as that...

    Supermarkets discussion

The last time I worked somewhere that had a staff canteen was 1994! And even then that was a lone canteen in an industrial estate in Aberdeen - people from other buildings used to come in for lunch, since then nowhere I've worked has had food facilities beyond a microwave, toaster and kettle.

    ScotRail recruiting more revenue staff

Either have I. I assume that because I buy all my Club 50 journeys in my logged in Scotrail account and then activate the tickets in said app, thats why they don't ask to see the card. As for the new revenue staff, I think everyone on this forum could give out a list of stations that they...

    LT Museum, Covent Garden

It does make it alright when comparing apples with apples. Not sure what point you are actually trying to make when its been pointed out to you repeatedly that the cost is similar to other attractions in the London area and its been a yearly ticket for over a decade.

    LT Museum, Covent Garden

Was there a couple of months ago - was ripped off even though its free entry. An absolute waste of time and an insult to the previous museums at the Kelvin Hall and Tramway. Anyway on topic - charging a year ticket is very common across the country. I went to the Eden Project and they give you...
