I am looking to travel from Skipton to Longbeck via Carlisle and Hexham
I see anytime singles splitting at Langwathby, including via CrossCountry/TPE services between Newcastle and Darlington, for a total of £38.30 inc railcard discount on Trainsplit
However, if I look to use a LNER service...
I travel somewhat regularly from London to Teesside
I've been avoiding Grand Central for the past couple of years after their reliability nosedived and have been using LNER
Have they got any better as of late? Is it worth giving them another chance?
Hello
My annual zone 1-5 Travelcard comes up for renewal next month (mainly travelling SCY->CTK, but enough bus use etc to justify a Travelcard)
Before I just renew via TFL, does anyone have any ideas if there could be better options (e.g. for cashback or "perks" like free Chiltern weekend...
I can't imagine any TOC paying out for a taxi if a whole day's services were cancelled due to industrial action? (Putting aside the question of whether or not they should)
Confused here
If this is a hearing for statutory declaration but if after making application has filled in SJPN indicting guilty plea and that they do not want to appear in court, what is this for? Set aside original conviction but then they've pleaded guilty anyway?
If they've already pleaded...
I think solicitors can represent in magistrates (where this would presumably go). Barristers (or solicitor advocate) only required for Crown Court I think?
Good evening
Does anyone know if the pre-10am £12 minimum spend rule for 26-30 Railcards apply to Fixed Day Single Standards bought for Heathrow Express? Or are these considered Advance tickets?
Bought one without thinking and now wondering!
I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas for what may be the optimal combination of tickets to buy for the following itinerary; I have a 26-30 railcard and flexible tickets are preferred.
31 July: Teesside to Plymouth
2 August: Plymouth to Croydon
6 August (evening): Croydon to Chester
8 August...
May not be a huge amount of help to the OP, but I had a very similar experience, except I used return leg of the Hovertravel ticket and used a different retailer (Trainpal). They ended up refunding the full ticket... guessing they had no clue how to process it.
As an aside, I found it pretty...
Is a Darlington to King's Cross Super Off Peak return valid via Thornaby?
Asking as I am looking to change at York onto Transpennine Express to continue to Redcar Central on return leg. I am wondering if I can do that through just buying a Thornaby to Redcar ticket, rather than a Northallerton...
I had a similar experience (but worse) with at a Southern ticket office a few months ago
I had a paper LNER Advance ticket (bought through LNER). On the day of travel (prior to the journey), I asked the Southern ticket office to change the date. They said such a thing couldn't be done, whether...
I had same issue with Grand Central : https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/grand-central-e-tickets.194177/#post-4262360
If multiple TOCs are doing this, is it worth raising with RDG?
I would come from Wickford direction. This being the case, right to think a BoJ at Southend Airport on a B Z5-Southend Stations would be perfectly permitted?
I have an Annual Gold Card (annual Z1-5 Travelcard) and am looking to travel in a couple of weeks from Central London to Southend Airport (one-way) at about 6pm.
A super off peak single from Boundary Z5 to Southend Airport costs £7.90. However, an any time day single from Boundary Z5 to...
Yep, needed to book via GC in this instance as I had a promo code to use (following a previous complaint). Not going to fight to get it changed to a paper ticket in this instance
It will discourage me from getting "e"-tickets from them again; I will just choose TOD and they can incur the costs...
