There’s an additional LNER tomorrow morning 07.30 Peterborough calling at Huntingdon , St Neots ,Stevenage and King’s Cross , plus most if not all LNER services will be calling additionally at Peterborough on the up and down if there not already booked to stop . Unless the DFT authorise money...
Yes for those asking how much a average member has lost for most my colleagues especially those like myself who don’t do too much overtime I’ve actually gained more money as for every strike day lost I did a rest day work which pays a lot more , plus fair few strike days where at weekends so...
When crossrail is fully operational Iver is intended to have 9 car 345s, 4tph stopping all day. Also sunnymeads and wraysbury have 2tph service all day to and from Waterloo and Clapham junction, I know we have discussed the reasoning why, you in great length on this forum but like the fact...
Looked Like a pretty healthy loading coming into kings Cross this morning. Unfortunately the first northbound Return back to Hull at 11.48 was cancelled due to overhead line Damage.
They will not be handing out any items free for first class. There calling it “off board catering “ LNER will be having a few on board hosts operating trolleys on and around LNER managed stations. Selling a limited selection off the trolley menu. So York, Newcastle etc , but not at stations such...
Unfortunately, the advice for your daughter would be to remain in Brixton. Public transport would definitely not be a option. If you where to be stopped by the police, then you would be turned back towards home. Plus if anything where to happen on your journey to and from London such as a break...
There is plenty of seating on the Thameslink at St Pancras and at other stations on the core. I believe Euston station has just had or is just having lots of new seats installed.
Would be good to see them trilled on the Southminster branch. I understand the Branch has been discussed many times before on here. My money is on class 365s on the Southminster branch. However we will wait and see, as my guess, is just that.

With regards to the aubergine fronts, ive seen a few of these working kings cross to Peterborough services. I didn’t catch the train numbers but there’s a few of these about. They have full great Northern branding and the aubergine that you refer to is the same colour as the “sash “on the Great...
I would definitely terminate the service at old oak common. Crossrail’s 24tph 9 car service could cope. (A Ten car 30tph Crossrail is a possibility in the future) There would also be plenty of people using the old oak common to change for services to the West, reading and onto Heathrow. The...
My guess with the 2+1 seating is its near the wheelchair bay and its also deliberate. As those coaches in my observations seem to be the most crush loaded, as many of the station entrances are in the middle of the platform. So more standing room would be required. I’m guessing it also helps...
There are no plans to reduce journey timed from the Dec 19 timetable change. Regarding journey time savings in 2020 and beyond, the plans are at an early discussion stage. There are currently rumours of additional stops being added to services form the time saved form the introduction of the...
A question here, is Hayes and Harlington bay platform ready for 9 Class 345s? If the bay platform is ready, then would it not be a good idea to run 9 car 345s. I’m guessing the platform at Hayes is not ready. Running 9 cars it would be good for driver training and stopping marks and would...
The new timetable has been very interesting. On my travels home to Windsor and Eton Riverside Ive witnessed the following. Monday to Friday, the Usual 10 car 707 and 458s and now 4 or 8 car 455s and 450s so it can be one of four stock types, 4,8 or 10 carriages long. Toilets or no toilets. I...
Hi I am a new member here. I have been rail forum posts including all 85 pages here. I appreciate the discussion about the Southminster Branch and the Wickford bay platforms have been discussed previously. As we get more closer to the introduction of the new stock are there any updates on the...
I think its fair to say that Arriva Southend is not number one on the priority list. The Depot and staff seem to do there best. I remember in the mid-2000s I think it was 2005 time when all of Arriva Southends low floor buses where transferred elsewhere, mostly in Kent.
