For a London TOC, plus the intensity of the metro work, Southeastern train driver pay is shockingly low, hence the amount of drivers who continually leave for neighbouring TOC’s for more pay, and better T&Cs.

Just a quick question, did you have to sit the DFFT (Driver Fault Finding Test) with Chiltern?

Does anybody know the maximum travelling time to your depot of choice, that Avanti accept? Is it 60 minutes by car, or less, or more?

Do GWR allow relocation?

Was the VSE taken at home, or at the OPC?

What are the extra enhanced tests CHILTERN do? Is it the DFFT or the VSE?

Is the VSE still part of South-Eastern's assessment, alongside the SJE, or have they dropped it?

Not all routes are equal, nor driving hours, associated relief breaks, turnaround time, and duty lengths. For current and prospective TFW drivers, which depot and routes/links offer the best gig? IE: Shortest day, driving hours, average shift length etc.

No offence intended, but I think you failed on the easiest test. PM me, and I’ll send you the software. Keep your chin up, and you’ll fly it next time. I also failed 1st time around, and passed on my 2nd attempt, so don’t beat yourself up over it.

50/50. TFW have contacted many people 7-8-9 months later after initial application, as seen in this thread of the 2020 intake.
