Hi all thank you to everyone for your help on this forum. I'm pleased to say I have passed my medical and now have a start date with ARL. Does anyone know anything about the training for ARL? Where it is? Time spent in classroom? How many months etc....

Whats the hearing test like? How long does it last and at what point in the medical do you do it?

So I've found out that I've been successful in the DMI. On to the medical. Which I'm nervous about. Had a specsavers hearing test and they say I have minor hearing loss. Does anyone have any info on the hearing test and do they know if I'm likely to fail due to my minor hear loss?

Hi all, has anyone sat a DMI recently with ARRIVA? I have mine next week and seeing if anyone has any pointers?

Cheers mate I'm really hoping to hear something soon. From what I understand theres a course in Feb however that sounds like its full from what people are saying on here. After that, I have no idea what the dates are. I'd love to know the likelihood of me getting on a course in the next 6 months

Hi guys. Just wondering if anyone knows the rules about taking holiday during the training period? Is it a big no no or can you take leave after a certain amount of time? Its just I have my wedding in spain in september 2020 and would need a week off for it. Just so I know whether or not to keep...

Any ideas when we would be notified if on one of those courses? Really hoping to hear something soon.

How did everyone do at their DMI'S? Did they give you any indication of potential courses coming up for if you passed

DMI is on a seperate day as its done by GWR staff. All the rest is done by the OPC

I wonder when people will start getting calls regarding the Nov and Feb courses.... Good luck everyone with their DMI's

Yeah I am also wondering when/if we are going to hear about the Nov and Feb courses. Haven't heard of anyone on hear being offered a place on them yet. Just the October wavers

Congratulations on passing. I too am in a talent pool however for Paddington. Did they mention in your DMI that there are courses in November and February? I heard there were and am desperately hoping I also get a place soon.
