My under-16 proving he's under 16

It is not 'rare' to be asked your age when buying a rail ticket at all!! My 15 year old daughter and her friend started using the train a few months back to visit friends at the coast. They are asked every time they travel. They both carry their 11-15 oyster card ID which thay use for travel...
