I failed my Stage 2 in July 2019 - passed it at the second attempt in Nov 2020. I guess I'd have maybe been getting an invitation about now if I'd not fumbled one question :(

Is anyone currently waiting to sit Stage 2 / MMI? Presumably this is currently on hold indefinitely?

I'm sorry for you Amanda, having failed the MMI recently too I have an idea of how you feel. Remember that there are far more diverse careers in the rail industry than driving - good luck for the future.

Is anyone on the Stage 2 testing day in Nottingham on Wed 24th July? To those who have been through a Stage 2 testing day before - do you have to pass each individual test to progress onto the next one? Or does everyone do every test to then be told yea or nay at a later date? Many thanks.

Hi Nathan, I had my interview last week, I was hoping to have a response this week, but now having read how long you've been waiting, perhaps I should expect a longer wait.

Does anyone have an idea as to how many people get through to the DMI? Supposedly 500 people sat the Stage 1 testing, but I can't imagine they will interview anywhere near that number - interviewing is a lot more staff-intensive than supervising rooms full of test subjects! :D

Only in the sense that I don't think you should let it stress you out - see it less like an interrogation and more like an opportunity to 'sell' yourself. I find that if you think of things more positively than negatively, it will effect you less and you'll perform better. Maybe that's just me o_O

I was on that day and I've not heard anything either. I know others (far more clued-up in how TOCs work than I) have said it shouldn't make a difference, but I can't see why a company would continue with the time, effort and cost of recruiting for staff to go on courses starting in 8 or 9...
