Do you know whether this is the same GWR?

I had a long process. I applied back in October 2017. And got into the talent pool March this year. I’ve now done my medical had my formal offer and waiting to start the 1st July. *waves willy* haha I didn’t do my first assessment until July 2018. I’m external so maybe that’s why my process...

Got my email today. Pretty much the same as yours, with the letter stating about subject to the results of the DBS and so on.

Oh ok, do you know if the same recruitment person is looking after the trainees going into positions(for GWR)?

There is a lot of willy waving going on here hahaha! I’m external to the First Group so maybe that’s why I’m not so lucky today.

I’m not sure, I did have a look around the forum as well but it’s really unclear how many people were in the pool. I personal don’t think it’s that many (in the pool) because I had my DMI in March then had a conditional offer at the end of March.

The verbal date I had was the 1st July as well.

Like @tiptoptaff said, when they invite you to a medical they will tell you your start date. But obviously that is a conditional start date, you have to pass the DBS and medical first before the formal offer.

Yeah that must be an old template they haven’t updated yet. Maybe the process was different before this recruitment phrase? ‍♂️ I will let you know when I get my email and see if it’s the same.

Ok, hopefully you’re wait isn’t long. When I had my DMI they said there would be a course later in the year but there was no clear date yet. So hopefully it won’t be too long a wait for yourself.
