You could walk that distance in an hour. Cycling is probably a better option though.

Redoubling Cambridge to Chippenham Junction (Newmarket)

While I realise a more frequent service to Ipswich would be more useful, wouldn't longer trains be an easy option to increase capacity? The last train I took towards Ipswich was a single carriage class 153.
