Hello everyone,
I am doing a bit of research into the Mablethorpe Loop (Louth - Mablethorpe - Willoughby) and I am looking for in particular a gradient profile.
Despite being where it was, the line did have a few grades other than on the level and I am trying to track down a publication...

Hello everyone,
I am trying to find some decent interior shots of the 1st class compartments on these units, either as built or prior to their facelifts in the 80's.
Tried the usual good sources such as SEMG but as of yet I have drawn a blank.

Hi Guys and Gals,
I am looking to get some info on the interiors of Class 421 and Class 423 units prior to the facelifts that they had in the mid 80s, in particular the style of moquette used on the seating.
Photos would be great, either of the interiors themselves or of the style of seat...
As it happens, it's the workings of the Fratton unit I'm most interested in. Can you recall roughly what time these ran?
Also, what speed did these run at when 'at work'? Was it line speed or reduced?
Thanks to all who have replied :)
Hi Guys and Gals,
I am trying to gather information on the operations of the Southern Regions fleet of de-icing/sandite units in the 80s. I can find plenty of info on the units themselves, but details of the actual workings and operations is more obscure.
I take it that they would see...
Linked to this thread in a way, what speed where the sleepers booked to run at the 70s and 80s?
Current day WTTs show a speed of 80mph, to be exceeded when running over 20 minutes late. After the introduction of the mk3 sleepers, was the speed altered from that of trains formed of mk1 stock...
Hi Guys,
I recall that a number of 158s did have 1st class areas from the offset, but to clarify, which ones?
I seem to remember that the 46 sets introduced onto ScotRail routes had two bays of 1st class in one car, but which car? Was it in the 52xxx car or the 57xxx one? (I suspect the...
