    35 minutes into a journey so far with Avanti, and we’ve had three announcements from the shop. Including a long monologue about how the brown paper bags for hot drinks will save everyone from 3rd degree burns. Give it a rest!

    Happily had a rather peaceful journey on Avanti yesterday. Three hours from Crewe to Glasgow and no incessant announcements every five minutes. It was most enjoyable watching the scenery pass by in peace and quiet.
