If your meal was less than that you were quids in. If you bought a more expensive meal than the allowance then tough.

Similarly, about 2004, riding a motorcycle over a level crossing at Leominster. The shocking state of the panels in-between the rails was dangerous. Looking at Google Earth, that level crossing may no longer exist.
