We have both conductors and drivers based at Taffs Well. Conductors based at Taffs Well right now, book on there and travel to Cardiff to collect their equipment.

All valley crews (Cardiff, Treherbert, Barry, Taffs Well & Rhymney) are all trained on 756s so it’s just waiting for testing of the 756s on the Rhymney line to be complete and authorisation of them into passenger use on Rhymney & Bargoed services.

It is mainline crew that operate the VOG services. Although, it is still up in the air at the moment on who’s going to be doing what in terms of valley line crews doing the VOG services alongside mainline crews or just solely valley crews or if mainline crew will get trained up on the 756s.

As far as we know, it was going to be early December for 756 testing up to Rhymney

Yes, they would unless the unit has a complete electrical failure and it can not move then it would need to be rescued. To my knowledge, I do believe the 756s tanks are filled as backup just in case.

At the moment, yes we do 1753045664 At the moment, I don’t think we have any space for anymore at Rhymney and as for Taff Wells, 30 have gone there so far with, I believe, another 60 there by the end of year taking the total to 90.
