3 weeks is not really a lot. As frustrating as it is you'll eventually find out the outcome. It was around 5 months until I managed to get an answer after numerous emails. It was worth the wait in the end though.

Its not that long and it's a lot easier than the practice stuff they send you. If you search for the glop test on here you'll get some of the answers.

As long as it says application in process then you're ok. It'll change to assessments for interviews etc

No problem.Just remember base all your answers around the qualities of a train driver and you'll be fine.

Also the questions I had were very much like the MMI questions but just worded differently

January last year. You could get different questions just thought I'd give you a heads up. I used multi pitch climbing for that example and spoke about the importance of safety and sticking to what you've been taught and also team work. Think outside the box it doesn't have to be work related.

True be positive and keep applying that's all you can do if you've done it once you'll do it again. Like I said its crap to get that far and fail but you're in a good position with your tests just emphasise the point on your covering letter.

My original application was with freightliner. I then applied to northern just did the initial sift then had interview and straight to medical after that.

I failed my first and passed my second. Just treat it as as learning experience and come back stronger for your next one. If you've also got your psychometric tests completed through your first application, then you've got a big advantage straight away on your next application

Once you get good on the computer one start printing sheets out and get used to doing them on paper. I reckon I was doing 8-10 lines with no mistakes and I passed to an enhanced level.
