Was the last one you remember the Granton - Clovnestone service? lol Actually it's pretty full circle thinking about the 32 getting extended into Granton, it's like a welcome back!

That's good news about the 28, they seemed to have really hit the market with that route, I can already see a Sunday service in the cards next chance I imagine. 32 seems to be a slow start but it's only it's third day of the extension, perhaps it will pick up once folk catch on how handy the...

I think with the way the 31 and 32 are going to eventually serve West Craig's the question that comes to mind is, will there be any other service coming this way? If I was gonna change about the 17, it would be to have it run via Drum Brae North, but I guess the demand is not so high in that...

Made this mock orbital map including the 18, extended 32 and my mock 42 route, (tweaked it so it ran via Junction Street and Duke Street) was tempted to run it into Ocean Terminal but didn't see a point.

I don't see them extending one of the existing services, the 18 is already unreliable as it is these days and each change sees more and more cuts to the service, the 17 is a possibility, maybe even further down to Eastfield, but i would honestly see them do a new service instead of tampering...

https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/independent-operators-in-the-lothians.208583/page-12 I think this is the forum you are talking about, it has been discussed on there! It was shut down for a bit but thankfully reopened!

To be fair it does stand out on its own being a completely different operator in the middle of a Lothian served area, even when ECL ran it, I can only hope that Lothian will get it back at somepoint, or some part of the route anyway. 1789033011 Only a few days untill the service change takes...

Have Lothian ever ran a service near Vogrie?

Are they? I mean I know the cuts in recent years have been rough but maybe not as far as withdrawing, they seem to be the only transport operator besides Prentice and Border Buses in that region. At least the core routes are still safe, 113,124,X7, but they really need to improve on the 106...

Ain't the 32 planning to run via West Craig's too?

    Independent Operators in the Lothians

Agreed, still at least the mystery is solved, wonder why they went through the effort to label the stops before officially announcing this? Fantastic news on it being limited stops though, wonder what route it will take from Haymarket to Hermiston, and then Hermiston to Ratho. Is the 31 a...

There was nothing there which made it all the more odd, my last resort was to teach out to HCL but I figured this forum was the best shout.

Honestly I'm tied on this, I could argue that Ocean Terminal could do with the south link, despite it being a pretty hot take on here. :D But maybe a service to Craigleith could work, they could literally have it mimic the 42 all the way from Causewayside. I'm still holding out that Lothian...

    Independent Operators in the Lothians

This was put up quite recently, this and at Haymarket, which is why I found it very odd, the only source for a 67 route I can find is the old Lothian service Bush - Hanover Street. Was there not also an old 67 service that ran between Waterloo Place and Westside Plaza via Ratho? doubt it will...

Hello, I know this is off topic, but I wanted to quickly share another forum so it doesn't get lost. https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/independent-bus-operators-lothian-region.306359/ The last independent operators in the Lothians forum closed so I made a new one, hope enough folk can see...

    Independent Operators in the Lothians

Just thought I'd start this forum back up since the last one closed unexpectedly. Also because I wanted to run this by someone, does anyone know what route the 67 is by HCL? I tried googling it, but there is no trace of such a route online, any help would be appreciated! Image shows HCL 67...

To be fair, it's a centre, and it has shops in it, I think it qualifies! :D most folk would say the same for something like Westside Plaza. To be honest, this could work potentially, because unless you swap over to a 35 on South Bridge, then there's no easy way to get down to ocean terminal...

Lothian Group discussion (Lothian City, Lothian Country Bus and East Coast Buses)

To be fair, I agree with you there, the original part when it used to terminate down at the promanande rather than just serve it before the golf club layover was the better plan, why they changed that was just stupid and unnecessary, they should of done what the old 42 used to do and go down...

What a shame, it was nice having a bus down to the Promenade while it lasted, wonder if it will ever come back?
