You'd think that would be why, but the service made it all the way to Edinburgh. That's why I was a tad confused.

Saw this passing BON on its Northbound journey 1S83, strangely it was only displaying Preston not Edinburgh. Anyone know why this was the case?

Lostock and Westhoughton, previously had platforms on the Wigan line aswell as the Preston line.

Hall I'th Wood Bromley Cross and Darwen should also count? Although a few morning services have been known to skip the former due to overcrowding, which being Northern seems very frequent!

Platforms 1 and 2 at Bolton? Don't think any testing was even done on that side of the station, happy to be corrected though

Took a 385 as part of my journey today, between GLC and Motherwell, very impressed. Smooth and quick off the mark, very comfortable and overall a nice train to be on. Considering the 1st part of my journey was on a 319 between Bolton and Preston, I felt spoilt!
