I’ve just seen the Cambridge and Ely signaller position come up. Does anyone have any info if Grade 2 is just during training? Also if Cambridge is grade 2 even after training is that the basic? Is there a shift premium or Sundays paid as overtime for example? I’m Interested in this as a career...

No news is good news I guess. Odd though was they said their recruitment and training is on a tight schedule in the advert.

Damn ok, thanks for the info.. It doesn’t look so attractive if they give you two sets of weekend nights over the GPR weeks and then another couple midweek.

What does GPR mean and what do you mean by pick up lots of nights?

Do you mean pick up overtime or be allocated night shifts to work on your GPR? Also is there a max amount of hours they can give you per week during those two weeks of “anything goes”

Do you think this is a realistic roster? The person who shared it said it might be out of date.

Hi all does anyone have any idea what the shift pattern is or likely to be for this role? I’m going to apply anyway but would be great to get an idea because it’s quite a commute for me to Romford. Just wanted to check whether it’s feasible based on the shifts. Cheers

What do the DMI assessments involve? Is that the spacial reasoning, phychometric tests etc.. then a face to face interview?

I thought that. Seems ludicrous that you might have to reapply because they can only keep your details for a certain amount of time. Does anyone know how long that is?

I did recognise a change in the website design/layout so maybe the upgrade has caused a problem?

Hey thanks for that info. I must have done something right because I was offered an interview. It should have been today so good luck to all going. I withdrew my application after realising that the commute just isn’t realistic to Romford from my address. Maybe I’ll regret that in the future.
