Just a thought...as I zipped past the York depot today I pondered if York residents have been as upset by the 68's nocturnal rumblings as my Scarborough comrades or are they fast asleep/not there at night (the locos not the residents)

I just caught the TV star and her supporting cast leave the stage at about 20:50 this evening. I was hoping they might reverse back in for an encore but alas not. Leave em wanting more Courageous...:lol: Supporting act was a 185 that scuttled away just minutes before

Thanks for the updates in my response to my query about how many 68s have been at Scarborough. A long time surely since we had 4 locos at the coast:smile: I'm just on my way back from London so will see what's what with the Prima Donna 68 on platform 1 when I get back;)

No not really...just a few folk milling about between the train and the car park end nearest the parcel depot. The whole of the DVT appears to be totally blacked out except for the driving end. I'll try and get some more/better pics tomorrow. This morning the 68's engine was ticking over...

I took a bike ride past the depot yesterday and took these photos...a few from the gaps in the fence Seamer Rd side and a few from the other side (football stadium). Can't see a huge amount on the photos particularly the stadium side where the white fencing is up but hopefully they give those...

Superb has made it over the coast to Scarborough this morning with the mk5as. Rolled in pretty much on time just before 8am. Very smart looking I have to say sitting beneath the roof at platform 3

Does anyone know if the depot at Scarborough is open yet? I did wonder if this might be a move to transfer a Nova 3 set there for depot training. ...the depot isn't open by the looks of things. It's coming along but appears there's still a fair bit to get done before it will be completed...

I'm a new poster to this thread but have followed it with great interest...thank you all. I took a late lunch break to head down to Scarborough and witnessed a solo 68 trundle in about 2pm...no coaches tho. Still a pleasant sight after the years of multiple units but nonetheless a slight sense...
