777029 operating alone today on the Ormskirk 8 car diagram. Only two 8 car diagrams currently on the Southport line, which is a poor show. 777012 entered service from Kirkdale Depot this morning, reached Southport and was sent as a VSTP class 5 back to Kirkdale. If the unit was due an exam, why...
777011 & 777021 have been operating the now booked 8 car diagram today on the Ormskirk - Hunts Cross line. However, as of 14:50, the service was terminated due to a door fault at Sandhills and replaced with 777016 operating alone on 2O39 from Walton.
Needless to say 777004 wasn’t back out as planned for Aintree. 777047 (unsurprisingly after yesterday) is also not in service today. Several allocations aren’t showing in TOPS so not easy to see what units are out specifically without being out in person.
777142, 777144, 777146, 777148 and...
I was under the impression that the ASDO was completed, it was the staff training and unit availability for said training that was being deferred due to staff and unit unavailability.
Based on the planned introduction and assumed good reliability of these trains, what was the original proposed number of units in traffic out of 53 each day?
It takes longer than it used to with over generous timetabling. Three minutes from Birkdale to Hillside, four minutes between Hightown and Hall Road, three minutes between Seaforth & Litherland and Bootle New Strand is ridiculous. There needs to be more than four 8 cars diagrams as the 1732 and...
Hi all,
Visiting the network tomorrow. Is there any way to identify which old units are out and about, and if there is any way of identifying their diagrams on Saturday?
Thanks
An error, unfortunately.
The current ‘temporary’ timetable has been extended yet again to December 2026. At this point it is becoming farcical with no end in sight implemented by either Merseyrail or Stadler.
Well over 12 months.
What’s the reason for 777041 and 777047 being long term stopped? For new trains it is pretty poor that 777004 is still a spare parts donor.
It has spent the past week on Southport services and has been in and out of the sidings there. No doubt done there.
Nearly all stabling (not in platforms) is done in the main holding sidings. The Wallside siding doesn’t seem to get any use much now.
