    Bristol Temple Meads new entrance.

Nope. This is the one to the rear / east of the subway that allows mpre direct ccess to the new developments around there (mainly university related).

Ghost drivers - Fatal crash on A66

Nobody here is saying it does excuse it. But all of the discussion points go a long way to explaining why it happens. Not as an excuse, but the actual reasons that you need to understand if you want to see real positive change in these kind of parts of the country. These issues exist in deprived...

Ghost drivers - Fatal crash on A66

Absolutely. If your job involves driving we should we expecting stricter standards if anything! It always blows my mind how taxi drivers can be some of the worst drivers on the road. Professional drivers should be the best drivers not some of the worst!

Ghost drivers - Fatal crash on A66

When it comes to driving offences like this specifically surely its easy? Take away their license and if they still drive then take away their car (and continue if they get a new one). Or am I being too naive here? We arent talking about behaviour that happens in the street we are talking about...

    South Wales Metro - Future

Regardless of anything else I cant imagine Treherbert losing all direct Cardiff Central services is feasible anyway. As you alude to in your reply to the other bit. Just politically would not work if nothing else!

GWR accused of disrupting Wales-England train links by Welsh Government

Given london is already served well, I'd defo be prioritising the local services if I was in charge anyway!

    South Wales Metro - Future

I think this has been answered elsewhere before so apologies, but are those works required for any of the 4tph services, or just the full load across the three valleys lines (12tph from the Pontypridd direction)?

All cross country services suspended 23/08/26

It is worth repeating that we dont know the details. It is likely there was some redundancy and a backup plan but for whatever reason it didnt work. That is actually not that uncommon as backup systems by their very nature arent something you use all the time. Faults could have arisen in them...

    South Wales 'Metro' updates

Looks like toilets at Treorchy may be finished? The local MP has posted a bit of a fluff peice with someone from TfW showing the toilets and it didnt look like there were any barriers or anything to stop them being used now. Sadly I've only just got back to Bristol after being at my families...

TfW class 398 Stadler Citylink tram trains

Does looks like they are starting to slowly talk about the rollout in public. Just seen the a small peice with the local Rhondda MP talking to someone from TfW at Treorchy, showing the new toilet facilities there and saying we'll be seeing the 398s on the Rhondda line soon. No idea what soon is...

GWR two passengers left behind at Paddington

Its worth remembering that Paddington can be a nightmare for getting to your train on time. Platforms sometimes not announced until ten minutes or less beforehand (and during disruption it can be less - ive had 5 mins before). That means you may not have long to get from the main concourse to...

GWR accused of disrupting Wales-England train links by Welsh Government

Are there industry rules that say GWR have to help out with route learning? Feels a bit surprising given the objections that they would essentially be facilitating the services by helping with route learning given those objections.

Trainline to be investigated for not including fees in prices

They do not charge a booking fee for on the day etickets. They were also one of the first third party retailers to offer railcards and were the first as far as I am aware to integrate the railcard with the ticketing to allow a quick "show railcard" button on the ticket itself which is genuinely...

    Budget hotels discussion

I mean obviously all the news has been about travelodge, but in terms of getting a key ive never noticed any difference between any of the budget hotels really. Maybe thats just my experience but to me it feels like these things could have just as easily happened to the other ones too...

Getting passengers to spread out along the platform

If we want people to spread out more then we need to add more information screens so they actually exist where we want people to wait, we need to stop making short notice platform alterations so people can stop feeling like they need to be by the bridges / subways to get to other platforms...

First West of England (Bristol, Bath & The West)

Isn't the 45 already electric? Disappointed the 70 isn't on that list after we got a taste of the new buses before the last timetable change.

Seat reservations compulsory London Paddington - Cardiff Sunday 16th August

Given Cardiff has direct trains to both London and Manchester it probably is a good neutral venue convenient for both sets of fans. Birmingham is the only other city I could think of and you dont have as large a stadium there.

Severe Alert from the UK Government

The alert wasnt about places already on fire. It was about the fact the whole country is a tinderbox and we could get very similar events nationwide unless people stop being idiots / selfish.

Severe Alert from the UK Government

If it wasnt we wouldnt need to be banning the sale of them etc. Sadly people are either complete idiots or are incredibly selfish and so are creating real high risk dangers to large parts of the country. Given morons arent using their brains and are endangering large portions of the country...

Severe Alert from the UK Government

Im not that knowledgeable about the system but the wildfires have been occurring over large portions of the country. Enough that a nationwide message makes sense to me at least.
