I didn't mention it in the title but I assume the induction continues into a training course of some sort. "A free thermos" I don't believe you, surely the idea of a hot drink while stood on a freezing cold platform just isn't allowed.

Looking at job based at Woking, believe shifts are 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm. How does this normally work? IE. 2 early, 2 late, 2 off. Week early, week late, week off. Thanks

Got an interview on Wednesday for a RO(2) RDR. Understand the questions are likely to be of the STAR style "tell us how you..", "tell us why you...". Has anyone got further information of potentially what should be thinking about. Thanks

Done the assessment went well, interview next week. For a RO2 position the examples they sent you covered all the tests, the hard element was the amount of questions to be done in the timespan given. So lots of practice is the answer.

It was, served in the army for 12 years, had a Hang Glider Pilots licence, have a driving licence but can imagine in todays world still being turned down for a station job.

Thanks all, think that makes sense and covers all (although won't be the first time I've understood something wrong....). Only thing now is having read another thread is how long people have to wait for interviews. I think they only occur when actual positions become available.

Do they have an issues between offering you a job and the start date. My current work would try and get me to work 2 to 3 months to hand work over to another employee. Could this potentially be a problem?
