As far as I know you can board the trains without a ticket up until wickford. The conductors will sell you a ticket. I've always either bought my ticket from the machine or the conductor for the entire 7 years ive been using the line.

Yeah the conductors are usually always very quick. Just annoying that I didnt see one that day, i've learnt not to rely on that now anyway.

There was a sign up about that at the station but then they took it down after about 2 days. I bought my ticket from the conductor 2 days ago, so i dont really know whats going on with as of yet.
