It's a fantastic place, Drei Anne hohne station ( or sausage junction as it became known) between 12- 15:30 is just a non stop drip of steam loco movements! Planning a second trip at the end of summer and possibly one next feb, just missed the snow this year

The way it works is this! They have a conveyor belt of applicants at different stages, as people pass through the system places get filled! When they have enough trainees they stop the recruitment! This could leave some...

Is it possible to link a search to the photographs?
Let's say I was interested in looking at photo's of trains at derby for example!
Typing in derby into a search box and seeing all available pictures linked to derby, as opposed to say having to trawl through the entire archive looking...
I don't normally comment on people's photographs but something about this whole set really appealed to me! terrific lighting in some of those shots, they all came together to tell a story and you captured the whole event incredibly well! Thank you for sharing
My dad has a photo he took of defiant on 06/08/1988, the location was Hereford, it shunted some coaching stock into Edgar street sidings and then worked off with one barrier coach! It had the Red Dragon headboard on the front! We have not been able to track down any further information about it...
personally knowing what i do now i would consider it, all about getting yourself to the front of the queue! remember that the recruitment process for the TOC's is a costly affair and the sooner they can get bums on seats the better for them, logically you would think they would take the best...
