Update. I was offered the job last week and I'm happy as larry. I start at the end of this month. Think it's a good foot in the door on the railway as well. Didn't expect to get the job 5 months after the interview, but just shows that they do actually revisit applications.

Cheers, I'll take that as a good sign then! It was only an online medical assessment so not as promising as one at the doctors, but I'm feeling hopeful. Surprised they've got back to me after a few months. If I hear anything else I will update for other people in a similar position.

The email that I received from HR didn't give much away, it just said 'prior to your application can you please scan in your passport'. I thought they might just be updating their systems so...
