If they were owned by the leasing company rather than Eurostar themselves then I suspect another operator would be interested in running them along HS1...It seems Eurostar are only scrapping them to avoid anyone else being able to operate them in competition with them.
if they are going to be scrapped then why are they being sent into warm storage?? I'm sure Angel trains are planing on leasing them to another operator.

I can't see the 442's being scrapped, they are under 30 years old and scrapping them would be criminal. Still think it's possible SWT might have them back.
