    Caledonian Sleeper

I don't agree that commenters hate the service. Like me, they are probably interested in the whys and wherefores. It's not news when services run like clockwork.

Anyone know why 1S25 to INV today was stuck in Moy PL for an hour this morning? One would think it would have made it onto the double track...

Ah, I get the staffing problem, but given that for quite a few weekends recently they've rerouted, it's not like they haven't had practice

    Non-Urgent TOPS Requests

I see that there is a 1Z44 departed INV 09:16 seemingly to Leicester. It doesn't appear on RTT. I assume it's a special?

    New rail lines in Scotland

£10 million seems a helluva lot for this.

    New rail lines in Scotland

I cannot see the economic case for Tweedbak to Carlisle. Low population served south of Tweedbank. I'd support extension of Borders rail to Hawick though.

Trying To Keep Old Trains Running is a Waste of Time & Money.

I have used the class 43s with Scotrail and always enjoyed the service. Apart from the Calvinistic absence of alcohol.

Take a look at the map and timings. If they waited until Inverness to transfer the passengers, they would be extremely late.

Why not join the trains up at Aberdeen instead of Edinburgh?

I am looking forward to going to the two Real ale bars and coming back with some of the Linton Butcher's pies.

The Friday dry train policy was put in place as a result of offshore workers going home and getting totally pissed on that service. The policy stops at Newcastle.

    Flying Scotsman centenary events/ discussion.

Can't see anything on RTT but there are 2 possibilities, outside Darlington 1Z48, and north of Leamside 0Z57.
