Just a quick one!
I've been to 2 interviews now for a signaller and on both occasions, the interviewer doesn't seem convinced by my "communications" answer. They probed me both times. On the first occasion, I was told I did everything right apart from that one question about comms.
Does anyone...
Kneeon- may I ask how many questions were on the numeracy test and how long were you given? Also the same for the verbal reasoning?
I've got to get mine done by Monday, so I am doing a few practice tests to get back into the swing of things!
:) I like your last point buddy. However sometimes in life, there are issues that you simply cannot find common ground on. This is such an issue. It is so emotive, that people on both sides can become defensive.
I am not sure I agree with your comparison with safety of signalling! With...
To answer this, why not look at previous cases as to why some companies do not apply the same criteria to everyone.
I really hope I get that email!
yep I have, however, you should understand that marking an online application form is subjective. I am sure if you completed an application, you would want it to be assessed in a set, precise manner. That is what I would want- to find out how it was assessed and that managers are applying the...
But I already passed the tests- via the day assessment in London!
I could have accepted it if I had failed just one application form stage, but 5!!! It really beggars belief and I have wasted my time and money going to the assessment day in London :(
Just logged onto the recruitment portal and was shocked to see I have been rejected for 4 jobs in a row (and I didn't even have emails sent to me to confirm this)!!!
Like I said in a previous message, on my first application I got all the way through to interview (having passed the assessment...
Just called recruitment and the person that I spoke to said the above is untrue and that old assessment day results still stand!
Do you have any written confirmation of the above?

Oh great! So does that mean my test results for the assessment day are now void?! What a pain if it is! I was told that my results would be valid for 3 years- so much for that!
It just seems an odd system. If I wanted the best person to go forward would I chose someone who has put in a good application form, but has not passed the assessment or someone who has already passed the assessment (and therefore must have put in a reasonable application form previously)? Who...
Feedback was that I failed on the communications question which I have above
Why did I think it was unusual? Perhaps I used the wrong word. I just thought the question was quite different to the other questions I got asked.
