Turning at Chester hasn’t happened for a few years now for Avanti (possibly not since Virgin days) and certainly an 805 has never turned this way.

There was an 00:15 Birmingham New Street - London Euston for many years (including Saturday night / Sunday morning). IIRC it used to arrive at Euston at around 02:45. I suspect it finished in about the years 2002/2003 but could have been earlier.
Pre March 2020 Birmingham New Street had 3 xx30 departures. Virgin/Avanti to Euston, XC to Cardiff Central and XC to Newcastle. It was let down by the fact that the XC to Manchester was at XX31...:lol:
