I was on a GA FLIRT from Cambridge to Norwich a couple of years ago and saw two USAF V22 Osprey tiltrotors landing in the field alongside the railway line as we passed - very impressive
I cant see there is any space at most stops. I use the tram network quite frequently and every so often the tram gets blitzed by teams checking tickets and I am amazed the number of people who just get off or asked to get off yet all the trams have penalty fare stickers everywhere.
Manchester Oxford Road still has the name Oxford Road and a large red double arrow logo near the steps in the car park and a small overhead sign at the bottom of the stairs near the Salisbury pub that also has the GMPTE logo also. Obviously they wont be there much longer if the refurbishment...
I seem to remember Virgin had ticket checks on the ramp down to 3 and 4 and also staff in the subway in the past along with Northern checking tickets on the stairs to platforms 1 and 2.
And yes, I was amazed there were no barriers when I visited Wigan recently
morning,
does anyone know what the two blue class 08 shunters are that were stabled at longsight at wekeend? they were stabled at the opposite end to where all the TPE units are stabled if that helps.
Thanks for any help
being born in 1962 i thought i may be in for a cracking loco but all i can find built on my birthday is 2 class 08s but one was constructed at Horwich which is only 20 miles away so i suppose that is a tangible link i can be thankful for.
funny as I always get mildly irritated by the Wigan Central Real Ale Bar (underneath Wigan North Western Station) window graphics showing an A4!
I know A4s have been through Wigan since privatisation but surely it could have been a stanier loco.
55003 Meld - felt like I saw it every time I visited York or Kings Cross. It even came through Preston on an excursion to Blackpool in the early 80’s I seem to recall.
47444 always seemed to be around preston from what I remember.
Morning everyone
I am in London today and would appreciate any news on any of the following units;

450125
165029
Hope someone can help with any of the above
I leave london today to head north but still after any news of 165029, 395010 and 450125.
I was kindly informed the class 450 was on Clapham yard yesterday but I couldn’t see it, but it’s impossible to identify units at the country end of the sidings.
Again, any help would be greatly appreciated.
