I also applied in May 2016 and have been on hold after passing interview and assessment, I was told last week that there is no longer any vacancies coming up at Darlington and I have been taken off on hold. Disappointed to get this far and then got knocked back.

Darlington. I had a reply to an e mail 2 weeks ago when I asked for an update that I was likely to be taken off "on hold". I called and spoke with recruitment who old me they were due to have a meeting in the next few weeks for the potential course in August which may be the last for a while.

I spoke with HR a couple of weeks ago an August was mentioned as the next potential course.

Where did you hear this?

Do many fail the courses?

Did they tell you what yours was or what the upper limit they work to is?

Had a very similar reply for Darlington yesterday. Just waiting for clarification that i am to be taken off on hold as web site shows still on hold.

Are Northern still running driver courses once a month at Leeds? If not does anyone know how often? Gone v quite on here for anyone getting a start.

Are there no courses in April and May then? Do you have a list of course dates out of interest?

12yrs in police and also applied in May last year for Darlington. Now out of 9mth period and a bit gutted to not have got a start. HR have been great and still hoping to get a start this year.

I applied in May 2016 and my application runs out this month. I have been told that no course for me for a while at least.

I haven't heard anything. Application runs out next month.

Spoke to HR in November. Was told no idea when a course would be available and that post my 9 mth point they may contact me to discuss my application if any roles became available.

Passed everything in July for Darlington and still waiting. Interview due to run out around march time.

Have you had the call? I've already booked a holiday for next september, can't put our lives on hold. Hopefully if i ever get the call I'll be able to book the leave!
