Indeed - Stagecoach London standardised on them after seemingly placing orders for a few different types initially. They have smaller fleets of BYD/ADL (the 40-odd with East London all now replaced by StreetDeck Electroliners), Volvo BZL/MCV and ADL E400EV, but have clearly settled on one type...
It's certainly unusual. I suspect the use of class codes becomes vital (in London, they've now begun using four-letter codes - such as VMSL and VMSS for different lengths of Volvo BZL single deck...).
But that's the thing - in Metroline fleets (both London and Manchester), the fleetnumbers are in one sequence regardless of type. So if 673 is the next number available, that's where the batch will start. The Metroline Manchester fleet began at 100 (TEH100) and has worked upward from there...
I suspect more StreetDecks are going for conversion (more have been withdrawn for conversion since all previously expected examples up to 71093 were identified), and Bath will get the ones in Westbus colours in time.
They aren't due just yet - recent Leicester Buses announcements suggest they are due "by March 2027", so likely will start arriving at the end of the year.

And is it 56, come to think about it? The additional 10 Electroliners weren't part of any order announcement I've seen, so I...
I think this makes a whole lot more sense than some are suggesting.
Mobico wanted out, and no one else would buy with franchising coming. WMCA now have much of the operation they are going to franchise in advance, and all of the data on it. Didn't GMCA in particular have difficulty with...
Sorry, you are correct! But the point stands that the rail link between Margate and Canterbury isn't remotely enough for the demand, hence why the buses do so well.
QEQH (Margate Hospital), Westwood Cross Shopping Centre, plus Margate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs.
Having had occasion to use the Loop recently, it is exceptionally busy around the route as it smartly links everywhere it needs to.
As you note, Ramsgate-Canterbury has a frequent train service...
The Metroline MetroDeckers were withdrawn pending repowering by NewPower.

Whether anyone else tries this will be interesting to see.
For all the criticism on here, EY must be doing something right on their York routes - they've reported a 10.8% increase in passenger numbers on the X45/X46/X47 group over the past year, and 8.8% on their York routes generally.
That kind of increase certainly helps justify investment...
Presumably the ones in store will be the rest of 22 BYD B12s that were on order - the five for Shuttle work were the first of the 27 funded in total.
If some are near Heathrow, that would suggest BYD's premises, which as I recall are in Iver.
