    Stagecoach South & South East

Back in the 1990s the good bus territory of Newington still enjoyed a 10 minute frequency to Ramsgate on the 33 (and half hourly, before a reduction to hourly, through to Margate via Stirling Way, Allenby Road, Westwood & the old hospital), whilst the Dane Valley-Garlinge 32 ran every 15...

    National Express Coaches Discussion

No idea if true but two Parks drivers were chatting on my 501 journey a couple of weeks ago & suggested the Plymouth base would only be left with 'feeder driving duties' to just Exeter or Bristol? Also suggested there would be no maintenance or support staff left at Plymouth.

Stagecoach South West - Fleet News & Discussion

And right through to Torquay on two extended River Link 100 journeys (plus live positioning journeys to/from its Churston Steam Railway depot at the start /end of the day as the buses are based there but now run dead to/from Paignton Bus Station)

Stagecoach South West - Fleet News & Discussion

Yes. Only one vehicle now required for the short Paignton end holiday park shuttle, recently been full open-top 18186 still with Peak Sightseer branding!

First South West (Kernow & Buses of Somerset)

Why omit the actual timetable from the leaflet (probably the most important part along with its included route map) & doesn't the leaflet wrongly imply that the Ilfracombe - Lynmouth section is only served for five weeks in the peak Summer when the open-top buses operate?

A driver said it'll be known as route "Chiefs"

Stagecoach South West - Fleet News & Discussion

From memory wording for E1/E2 in Stagecoach timetable changes website section said "an enhanced capacity will be offered with larger vehicles allocated to all journeys". I doubt anything larger than E200s would be used and note one Solo is currently tracking so perhaps just meant all workings...

Stagecoach South West - Fleet News & Discussion

A section of three stops will no longer be served. Larger buses will also be used on the E.

    Go Cornwall Bus

What is it for (other than low fares pilot presumably soon to end as funding dries up) as thought its local bus services network is still 100% commercial with Go-Ahead providing all supported services?

First South West (Kernow & Buses of Somerset)

Are 'others' all purely Truro College services & local Lizard school contracts (which First might just give up if Helston closes) as the U4 appears to be the only all day local bus service remaining operated by Helston after First's cull of other Lizard routes?

    Megabus Discussion

Thanks. When did that change do you happen to know richw? Original launch info suggested Roselyn would later also contribute a vehicle but that never happened AFAIK. So do Berrys now use the Citybus Milehouse depot for cleaning or fuelling coaches in Plymouth? Updating 'henryb' Roselyn did...

    Megabus Discussion

Although with more services Flix Plymouth drivers (supplied by Roselyn which bases some coaches at Citybus Milehouse depot) drive a Devon bound coach back in service (not a car) unless recently changed.

    Megabus Discussion

So did I last year when it was a long cross country through service from Norwich to Bristol (it even continued to Cardiff from memory & some other passengers did travel across Birmingham with me though the majority alighted or boarded there).

    Megabus Discussion

The Barnstaple-Bristol via Taunton, Weston-super-Mare & Bristol Airport local Megabus route is discontinued however, which the article omits to mention. It was also operated by Stagecoach SW.

Indeed yes it was https://www.getyourguide.co.uk/salford-l98598/bristol-city-sightseeing-tour-t728813/ but I see Flange Squeal has beaten me to it and already answered!

Online advertising suggests a 13 July start with 1.5 hour recorded commentary tours at 1030, 1200, 1400 & 1500 (pink year round timetable with "extra tours during the summer months") from Broad Quay stop C6 for £12.

Old Park & Ride Routes in Canterbury

The Saturday P4 had a PVR of three drawn from four Herne Bay double decks - two Scanias & two Olympians - have had side frames added for special P&R advertising boards to be slotted in. Certain drivers did display P4 on the Scania roller blinds, or CCC for Canterbury City Council (which paid...

    West Country Independents

Devon County Council contracted routes. Minibus operated out of necessity because of the very narrow Dartmoor bridges between Ashburton & Two Bridges via Dartmeet (section of route once served by First D&C Varios as part of the former DCC Sunday Rover network and before that narrow bodied LH...

First South West (Kernow & Buses of Somerset)

...and presumably all Sundays are forecast to be wet & windy suppressing demand hence their lower frequencies this year?! Could be some busy Sunday journeys perhaps should the currently run of wet weather stop?

Thanks, so just a temporary loan then. Thought I recalled something, must have added some livery variety to Leicester then being Coaster/Quantock ones.
