Been for my medical today, passed it all just waiting on urine sample results. They have mentioned 3rd Oct course to me when arranging my medical. Will be pushing it with my notice but I'll give them what notice I can, been keeping my bosses updated throughout so it won't be a surprise to them.

Think it's a case of prioritising who gets into the next training school courses. Blackburn will be a new depot and expected to open in Dec 2017 but they need people to complete 9 months training before that, so I'm guessing that they need to fill the next few courses with Blackburn candidates...

Think the training takes place in Manchester city centre for Blackpool trainees but it may well be based on where you live. Blackburn will be the newer depot which has its good points and bad. For me Blackburn works better simply because it's closer to where I live.

That's a shame Lucky63 I'd probably be the same distance from either one, yeah they offered me that course but just too short notice and my bosses have been fairly good to me so can't leave them like that, plus I'm helping train some new starters.
