Revenue Inspctor took my staff oyster pass because I didn't have my photocard?

It's one of many roles. Yes, all passes require certain details and/or photos to be valid, but we simply deny travel, we don't take passes off people. We're of course not Revenue though, so we/I wouldn't know what they do (until today).

    Should We Leave the EU?

Out of EU. All the remain campaign is based on fear mongering. All those "respected bodies": IMF, Global Banks, Commissions- are in bed with Globalists. They want the world under one Government, they don't care about Britain, they simply have money vested and worry about speculation and...

Revenue Inspctor took my staff oyster pass because I didn't have my photocard?

Well, it's more the system than colleagues to be fair and no names or specifics have been given. However, the RPI was struggling somewhat in places to explain and did have a stammer. I got the impression he'd not been in the job long, I couldn't be sure if he was being unnecessarily heavy handed...

Revenue Inspctor took my staff oyster pass because I didn't have my photocard?

I think what annoyed me the most, was that the fact passes could be confiscated so easily had not been brought to our attention and that this is how I found out.

Revenue Inspctor took my staff oyster pass because I didn't have my photocard?

Lol, I'm not sure how to take that comment. "My boss" would be TFL. Last I checked, CSAs are the only staff in TFL at stations NOT leaving. Most aren't happy with fit for future, (ie Supervisors, Managers, etc), but that's not what this thread is about (although both are about bureaucracy). Does...

If I had a solution I wouldn't be here asking you.

Revenue Inspctor took my staff oyster pass because I didn't have my photocard?

@bb21- oyster cards do not always work in a wallet partnered with a photocard. This means to ensure it does work everytime, it's more practical to touch the card by itself. Yes, it sounds like you missed the above. Try working at a busy gateline having to take out the card from a wallet...

Revenue Inspctor took my staff oyster pass because I didn't have my photocard?

@Mojo I said "good reason for the inspector's lack of cooperation" - not a list why card and photo should be together. I've already stated why they weren't together. Practicality for the job at ticket machines and the gateline.

I do, separately, for work. You know something? I've never liked bureaucracy. It's just occurred to me I'm working for bureaucrats.

Which results in bureaucracy and a waste of time and money and prevents me doing my job this weekend. In a court of Law, judges use common sense. Laws serve a purpose. Judges aren't machines ticking boxes blindly following laws. I'm open minded to a good reason for the inspector's lack of...

Revenue Inspctor took my staff oyster pass because I didn't have my photocard?

I joined as part of the night CSAs under TFL. We need the passes to do our jobs at the tickets machines and gateline. It was on a bus, an inspector asked to check passes and the rest is history.

Revenue Inspctor took my staff oyster pass because I didn't have my photocard?

I rarely use my oyster to travel, unless I'm going to work. Even then, the card is always separate to the wallet which has the photocard, because as CSA it's inconvenient to have the pass in the wallet as you need it every 5 minutes to adjust fares and let people through the gateline. I did used...

Revenue Inspctor took my staff oyster pass because I didn't have my photocard?

Is it really necessary for him to take it and what happens if I refuse, can I not just walk off the bus? I gave him the station I work at, my name address, I told him he could check with the station I work there and it's my pass. He said it wasnt his job and my pass needed to be investigated. I...
