I do remember the 458 introduction on on Alton and Guildford to Waterloo.
Think they ended there runs on the Guildford stopper once Woking bay was completed and the direct went to 4 an hour.
Woking is a 4 platform through junction station compared to Guildford which has 6 through platforms firstly.
Secondly Guildford doesn’t have as many conflicting movements or the intensity of Woking
Hi,
I attended mine 2 weeks ago, I passed with the medical Friday coning, start date 19th May.
It’s a really nice day start to finish
2 group activities one is on marketing and the other is a set of issues which needed to be prioritied
Then a break (those who haven’t passed first stage get...
Utter madness isn’t it. I avoid the 33 about 8:20 from horsforth as it’s always a single and rammed
In the evening rush I think 3 are regularly timetabled one after another between 5-6pm
Got my conductor assessment day for Northern at Leeds next Thursday.
Day is divided up into 2 group activities, role play and a panel interview
Any advise/ what to expect on group tasks/ role play?
Pre move to TPE it was mainly 158s but any of the Neville Hill sprinters or Pacers could make an appearance. Class 170’s were hired in by Northern post 2018 timetable meltdown to give TPE an extra 185.
Surprised a class 170 isn’t available to cover the bi-hourly trip, class 150 will be a big...
A P4 arrival at Donny on the 12:45 ex LDS sent us via the Decoy and I Just spotted 2x Class 379’s on the old postal platforms at Donny, split, rear unit pan up, front unit pan down and hooked up to a class 57. Both heading south I assume?
Saw one of the Leeds’ new single decker electrics on staff bus duties tonight on Boar lane
I’ve a few questions
How many are heading for Bramley?
Likely routes? Assume the 4/4F/16/16A for the deckers?
Had one last jaunt out on the 68s & MKV’s today. Outbound (1634 exLDS-YRK) was slow following a northern stopper, nothing really exciting.
The return from YRK 20:38 crikey we took off like a shot from plat 3 at YRK. Really felt the power of the 68 (leading) and we’ve gone hell for leather since...
been looking around to find a answer- but not getting far
1) NPR is still happening but will now go via Bradford then onto Leeds? Or to Marsden then separate routes to Leeds/ Bradford?
2) £12b for Manchester to Liverpool- is this to fill in for the HS2 infastrucer between...
The reliability was awful and it struggled to keep to time across Leeds.
As a regular user on the Northern leg (now 38/39) I can’t really grumble at the new service. Some of timing is a bit unthought out but very rare to find cancellation and lateness is minutes not half hour +
The 802’s (19 of them) aren’t heavily diagramed at present if I am right in thinking.
7 on Newcastle-Liverpool
4 on Man Picc- Newcastle
1 on Anglo-Scottish (WCML)
2 on Newcastle-Edinburgh
14 out of 19
