Southern between London Victoria & London Bridge via Forest Hill all declassified. Definitive answer from Southern via Twitter https://twitter.com/SouthernRailUK/status/1060824461455310848?s=19
Update, finally a professional person contacted me from TFL. Just been in to SPB again where I met him and he went through it all with me in the ticket office. Their system did issue my new ticket with a Gold Card discount applied as if I'd purchased the ticket at a discount and this was making...
Everything I've read says it has to be the station who issued the ticket. I don't know what's true and what's not because I keep being lied to by ticket office people who don't know the answer but throw out guesses with gay abandon. I got a call back and my case has been passed to the fares...
Confirmed that the ticket works through the barriers off peak in the afternoon but not peak in the morning. Now off to SPB again where the 1st thing they'll say is 'we can't issue more than one replacement' followed by 'it's not possible to have an off peak annual season ticket'
These are my...
I hope you are correct. I have not lost any tickets in this saga. They always had the previous one to void.

Shepherds Bush - what can I say?
You know what, I worked this out on the train this morning. I looked up 108 which means time constraint and it's (kind of) my fault for suggesting the guy put the NGC code on when he asked. He's put the discount on as if it was a discount on me buying the ticket which had a £0.00 value anyway or...
He had my details up and was saying it was asking him to select something from a dropdown menu and he span the screen round to show me. All the choices were three characters in upper case. NGC seemed to be the most obvious. Not sure why he was asking me in the 1st place!

Basically it seems the paper tickets are highly fragile and any number of things can corrupt them. 'not fit for purpose' springs to mind.
The problem is amplified by ticket office staff automatically trying to deflect you rather than dealing with it. In my case I know what I am and am not...
I thought about that and I haven't really stood and watched (but I will) but hardly anyone has a paper ticket. If you could do a point to point season on an Oyster, I'd do it like a shot. No car keys either.

Thanks for replying, my answers are...
My phone is always in right pocket and wallet, keys and coins in left. And my phone doesn't have a flip cover on but I know what you mean, tablets all have them to wake when the cover is opened.
Here's the scenario. I have been travelling between Forest Hill (FOH) and Shepherds Bush (SPB) via Clapham Junction for nearly 10 years. I have a paper annual Gold Card season ticket (which costs the bargain price of £496 per year - v happy about that) that I purchased a Shepherds Bush...
