So Liverpool to Manchester Airport is split into 3 diagrams, 2 of which are currently covered by 319s, when the third also "goes electric" this leaves 7 of the additional 8 we will see from May 17th to cover Liverpool to Wigan, Victoria, Preston.

How long does ORR approval normally take? I recall that the Liverpool to MIA service was up and running only a week or two after test trains ran.

Two sets made the journey north from Wolverton to Allerton today!
There are a few pictures of them on Flickr during their epic voyage and the photographers duly identified them as 319368 and 319382. Both sets appear to be sporting the now familiar...
Realtime Trains shows an STP for tomorrow (9th of April) leaving Wolverton Centre Sidings at 1533 and arriving at Allerton Depot at 1928 - (FRGT - Class 319).
Went on 319 362 a few days ago, it was faster than the diesels and it had to wait at a couple of stations because it was ahead of schedule.
Should improve the journey times when the time tables are changed to take advantage of the extra speed.
