    Signalling problems between Blackburn and Bolton (03/09)

    This seems to still be going on most Monday mornings. First train through this morning was cancelled (but still came through platform) with the second train delayed by >30 mins. There was a rail cleaner waiting at Bromley Cross to go up to Darwen also.

    What happened to the "smart ticketing" thing in Manchester?

    Just been thinking about this today and found this thread. My year season ticket seems to stop working at the barriers at Oxford road after about a month of use, contactless would solve this. It does look like it's all gone quiet until they renegotiate the franchises.
