That sounds like the best opportunity Assarts Farm residents have had in a long time to develop a sustainable bus service, and you would hope that it generates some usage. Linking the various business parks together may also help with some peak traffic in the long run.
Does anyone have an opinion if the later batch of E200MMCs, which trent fitted with the darker "super tint" glazing have helped to keep the interior temperature down slightly or not at all?
Is it a basket case though? As has been suggested earlier, it gives NCT opportunity to look at both 18 and 49 together to work out what the solution might be, especially with 600-odd houses going behind Boots.
If people aren't using evening services on what would have been "the core", then the...
The more sensible solution would be getting Kinch to re-number the 9 (one single route) rather than an entire network. They also have more numbers available to them that would still see it fit into their Loughborough numbering.
As it's the 9 following the demise of Premiere, when it was Red 9...
It has a PVR of 3 (workings on bustimes using the &detailed feature). NCT would appear to be using a 4th bus at the moment to try and mitigate any delays on the service due to the major roadworks on the A52 at Holme House.
When those are finished, then there will be a spare Solo for when one...
I think the answer is in the press release - NCT have been involved in the revisions made to the Yutong double deck that has been released this year, and so have found a product suitable for their requirements.
No - they came via Nottingham for some electrical fitment before going to Pelican in Castleford. They're only now in the process of being delivered for service.
The short answer is that they don't. Operators will run an ATF (Authorised Testing Facility) on their premises, in which they book slots and on specific days a DVSA examiner will arrive to carry out the tests.
Of course, that depends on the size of the operator - and these days the...
I came back by bus so didn't see the southbound. I was surprised at the length of it as a TSR myself - you first think there must be a track defect in a section somewhere and then when you stay at the same speed all that distance you do wonder what the issue is!
Any idea why the entire double track "off-street" section between Wilkinson St and Bulwell has got a 50kph TSR? It's noticeable in terms of slowing the journey down, and then beyond when they return to the normal line speed.

With Rivendell having just joined the City bus network, it would appear that NCT will have further developments in September.
I do wonder what the vehicle allocation will be for the additional vehicle that requires.
I would imagine the timetable requires buses to be based at "both ends" for it to be efficient, so I would expect at least one working to overnight in the Williams depot at Brecon.
It was always going to be a challenge for Stagecoach to keep when the Brecon outstation closed, as working the...
Surely the question that should be asked is that why 13 year old Solos were retained in the fleet and the considerably newer ADLs were sold, rather than being cascaded as an operator would normally do? That suggests some dissatisfaction with the product.
And yet we don't question the influx...
I won't share a picture, as I'd imagine the publishers would prefer you to get this month's Buses - it's on p38. I'm sure both Wrights and NCT may do some trade press to coincide with the Album conference itself perhaps, which is being held in Nottingham this year.
The interview confirms they...
When the final scheme is in there will still be two lanes exiting Mount Street - albeit a bit tighter than it originally was with the new road layout.
With it being the Easter holidays, there are some lane closures back on in the area whilst it looks like the Council are trying to get things...
It’s the Hanover fitted batch, which occasionally after an update (presumably for this weekend’s changes) introduce a white line. It happened previously and they were like it for about a week whilst the issue was solved.
There's an assumption being made that the Omnidekkas are being withdrawn this year. Given that they are on university work and only working for a limited part of the year, it wouldn't be surprising if they continued for longer.
Reading continued to run "54" plated Omnidekkas on their...
