A very enjoyable day was spent on Sunday for the Bluebells diesel gala.

On the train…. Wonderful journey, the Cumbrian Coast line is breathtaking especially as the visibility both inland to the Lake District & out to sea viewing the Isle of Man was so good, I think I prefer the route to Settle Carlisle and that’s saying something.

Loved it, only thing I found was in such a vast area oo gauge looked like N !!
Stayed for about 2 hours, was not busy, and had plenty of time to get up close.
I traveled by train from Chelmsford for £67, booked about two weeks in advance, £100 seems a bit steep!!

Being a member of Bluebell living in Essex I know what you mean about 11.45 service, personally would love to do more often with my Network Railcard cant quite make that train at EG therefore without traveling by car and enduring the M25 at Dartford do not go more than once a year.

Ok everyone, give me 2 weeks when i am next down that way by train and will take a proper camera. Specsavers only able to sell me clear glass lenses !!!
As others have said, let Network Rail know. They will send someone out to check. When I have reported what I thought was an issue (unrelated to third rail!) I received confirmation back within an hour that someone had checked (in my case, it was OK after all).

I may not have railway knowledge or technical in any way but i know a hole (and multiplies ones at that) when i see it...... have checked on the nearest Specsavers store for clarification of my eyesight.
