It will certainly be an easy line to reopen as it already exists, just used by the occasional freight. The hardest section will probably be at Alloa itself due to the layout. The large elephant will be what stock they will use on a reopened line, even if just an hourly Glasgow - Dunfermline...

Especially when some of them will get paid a "Finders Fee" by the charity when they get someone signing up, in some cases taking a couple of years before the charity will see a return on the investment (assuming the donation is £5 a month).

Isn't there also a limitation with the Newcastle - Reading services having to be a 4 coach voyager due to the bay platform it uses at Newcastle only being long enough for 4 coaches?

The problem is some staff members enter a silo-way of thinking when it comes to off-peak tickets (and Super off-peak), not just gate-line staff but other on-board staff. Especially when it comes to a ticket they don't come across everyday which has an unusual restriction code.

Or most likely little demand for Sleaford - Grantham on a Saturday night and it runs in service rather than as a long distance ECS (I suspect most Saturdays the passenger loadings would be very low).
