Most unexpectedly I saw a grey double decker bus today replacing trains via East and North Dulwich emblazoned with obviously long term GBR logos and Great British Railways vinyls on the front and sides. To be clear, just red rectangles of wording, not the full blown union flag livery.
I doubt it. Yes for some, but the majority are hardened through the thrill and the justice in their eyes of not paying. I knew people that used to call the bendy buses in London "the free bus" not because they couldn't afford a bus fare, just they didn't, in their eyes, feel any need to pay for it
Aside from money saving as mentioned above, the most common correlation seems to be people who suffer from anxiety based on a lot of the posts in the disputes and prosecutions section
And it just seems out of proportion to afford the same space to a train image (where people want to get to) and to a stairs image (nothing to do with what they want, just a hurdle on the way)
If you are going on a cruise then I recommend taking the package. We thought we'd get off early from the ship and just buy a ticket on the railway rather than the overpriced on board sale but there wasn't a single departure available before the ship left again
Take a Sevenoaks starter from Blackfriars, hear the "We are now approaching Denmark Hill" and count how many minutes later it actually reaches the station!

Agreed. We're a special bunch. My wife would tell me she travelled on a new train based on whether the carpets were cleaned and wouldn't be able to tell me after flying whether she'd been on an Airbus or Boeing
Strange it doesn't show letters, you'd have to look at the screen, count the number of coaches from the rear to your assessed target on the screen and then do the same count again once on the platform
Odd one indeed. It was cancelled in the end to those stops but I distinctly recall hearing Glasgow Central on the tannoy at the time of boarding. My LNW train overtook it north of Harrow I think and it was crawling
No message explaining the disruption. No message explaining what passengers being held outside should expect. Trains showing boarding when you're being held outside and cannot get in to board them. But a nice Calendonian sleeper lounge message rotating every 30 seconds.
You're siding with a...
Absolute failure on the boards today. Held outside for nearly an hour due to "health and safety" and the boards just showed old delayed trains with sporadically one boarding. The only information shown was about the Caledonian sleeper lounge and a QR code. I was luckily next to the train I...
