TGV double deckers are built to GB+.
HS2 is GC:
Platform height is not a problem for double decker trains. In fact, in a sense, it's better as you can position the doors above the bogies creating more space for seats on the lower deck.
The infrastructure itself is the same gauge as HS1 - UIC GC which is the largest continental gauge permitting the largest double decker trains as long as they only stay on HS2.
As far as I know HS2 will not have any British gauge platforms. Rather all trains will have extendable platforms. HS1...

The yellow front on that 172 is absolute horror as the colour does not mix with the rest in any way. The CAF units and Aventras better come without it. They wouldn't need it anyway.
